Most leather keychains are water-resistant, not fully waterproof—genuine and full-grain leather can handle light rain or splashes, but prolonged exposure to water will damage them (e.g., warping, discoloration, or hardening). PU leather is more water-resistant but can peel if soaked for too long.Pro tip: If your leather keychain gets wet, pat it dry with a soft cloth immediately (don’t rub!) and let it air dry naturally—never use a hair dryer or put it near heat (it will crack the leather). For extra protection, we can add a waterproof coating for a small fee.

Absolutely! Embossing and engraving are the most popular customizations for leather keychains—and most are free! We offer two methods: Embossing: Creates a raised design (logo/name) on the leather—subtle and elegant, perfect for vintage or minimalist styles. Engraving: Carves the design into the leather (recessed effect)—more visible, great for bold logos or names. For simple logos, names, or dates, it’s 100% free. We’ll send you a mockup of the embossed/engraved design before production to confirm.

Leather keychains are lightweight—most genuine/full-grain leather keychains weigh 10–15 grams (about the weight of 2 standard keys), and PU leather ones are even lighter (8–10 grams). They won’t weigh down your keyring or bag, and they’re way softer than metal keychains.As for scratching: Leather is a soft material, so it won’t scratch your bag, phone, or other items—even if you toss them together in a bag. The only exception is if the keychain has metal hardware (e.g., a metal keyring or clasp)—we polish all metal parts to be smooth, so they won’t scratch either.

Yes! We offer a wide range of leather colors—classic colors (black, brown, tan) for vintage styles, bright colors (red, blue, green) for playful designs, and neutral colors (gray, beige) for minimalist vibes. We can also match your brand’s exact color, even custom shades or Pantone colors.For genuine/full-grain leather, the color is dyed into the leather (so it won’t fade easily); for PU leather, we use high-quality paint that locks in color. Note that natural leather (genuine/full-grain) may have slight color variations (this is normal and adds to its uniqueness). We’ll send you a color sample before production to ensure it matches your brand.
